Leah Says....

Hi, I’m Leah Kilmer. I’m a mom of 3 beautiful littles, and I love birth, dance, craft coffee, connecting at the heart, and building tiny homes with my sweet and inspiring husband. I personally have had 3 very different birth experiences which encompassed birth center, hospital induction, 2 home-births, one having prodromal labor and the other accidentally unattended because he came so fast.

 A few days after birthing my first baby, I started reading a breastfeeding book by Ina May Gaskin and was so captivated by the first chapter about birth. I remember thinking, I’ve never heard of a doula before but that’s exactly what I have longed to be. As I learned more about birth through classes and reading and experiences, my heart was being healed from the traumatic parts and love was filling in those places.

In birth I bring a peaceful presence and reassurance if the normalcy of each stage of labor. I love helping women to understand and trust their design during pregnancy so that their birthing time can be the beautiful empowering experience that they were designed for.
